E J Payne has a proud history dating back to 1956, when our family purchased our first, and still current, showroom on Belgrave Road. Originally trading as E J Payne Chemists Ltd, the business began by supplying pharmaceuticals before expanding into pool chemicals and swimming pool products. Over the years, the company evolved, building strong foundations within the swimming pool industry alongside the chemist business. In 1988, following the retirement of E J Payne, the chemist closed and the second generation of the Payne family took over, developing the company further into the leisure business we know today. Since 1988, we have proudly traded as E J Payne Leisure, continuing to grow our reputation for quality swimming pool & spas and trusted customer service. In 2013, the third generation of the Payne family joined the business, with leadership officially passing over in 2019. Today, we remain a family-run company with decades of experience, committed to helping customers create their perfect leisure space.
